Rules and Regulations of the In-house Intensive Training Program

Attendance Rules
1. Trainees are required to attend all the training sessions. A trainee can only be excused from attending a session for a valid reason, e.g. due to sickness. It is understood, however, that when a trainee joins the program, he/she is physically fit to undergo rigid mathematics training.
2. No one will be allowed to leave the training venue to attend affairs and other gatherings during the training period.

What to bring
3. Trainees are advised to bring adequate sets of clothing such as MTG T-shirts, civilian clothes that can be used for outdoor and relay activities and one set of school uniform to be worn during the closing ceremonies.
4. Trainees must bring their own towels, bath soap and other personal needs.

For parents/chaperons/etc
5. Parents /chaperons/etc may accompany the trainee for the registration and they are welcome to attend the opening ceremonies.
6. After the opening ceremonies, parents/chaperons/etc will only be allowed to see the trainees during visiting hours. Noncompliance to this rule will mean deduction of corresponding points from the trainee's overall score.
7. All trainees’ meals will be served at the training venue. Delivery of foods and drinks to the trainees (from outside) will not be allowed. Trainees, however, can bring their own bottled mineral water.
8. Parents /chaperons/etc are welcome to attend the closing ceremonies during which the top scorers will be announced.
9. Top scorers are required to attend the Mathematical Olympiad Summer Training Program (MOSTP) from April 14 to May 16, 2008 in Deeco Technological Institute. MOSTP is free of charge.

Use of telephone
10. Use of telephone at the training venue, for local and long distance calls, is strictly prohibited, unless for urgent reasons and approved by the designated MTG officer.

Behavior
11. Trainees are expected to behave at all times. House rules must be strictly observed.
12. As part of the basis for top scorers, trainees’ conduct in the duration of the training will be evaluated. This includes not only the behavior in the session rooms but also the manner by which he maintains his designated area in the room as well as how he gets along with his peers and trainers.

The training program is purely voluntary. We will not be held responsible for any untoward incident that may happen beyond our control.
